New Watch needed
I'm thinking I'd like a new watch. The one I'm using now is my Ironman watch and it's seeing some wear from swimming, biking, not so much running. I'd like one that gives me pace, that is not too bulky. Ideas? Garmin, Polar? And I'd like it to be less than $200. Heart rate would be good too. Anyone want to shop for watches?

Hey I love to shop! Of course I'll go.
I'll even wear my running gear and we can say.. "yea we're looking for a good watch to train for our. ugh ugh .(that's a nonchalant cough) marathon." "yea, that's right , our half is comin' up.. need a good pace watch ya' know"

It really depends on (1) what functions you want, (2) what style issues matter to you (color, weight, etc.), and (3) what things from your current watch you like and want to find in the next watch and what you do not like and want to avoid.
My polar watch and heart monitor chest strap work great and have been quite durable.
I have a polar with the chest strap and I sometimes have trouble with it detecting a heart rate. It is probably totally an operator error on my part (or as Matt would say an ID-10-T) problem! I have heard that there is now one out that doesn't use the chest strap, but I haven't really looked into it. The Polar is really, really cute in pink!
Oh- I DO like pink. Thanks girly! I'm going to have to check that one out!
